We Customize For YOUR Feet
Below is the process we undertake with you to create the type of customized footwear needed for common foot conditions.
Custom Inserts
We begin by taking foam impressions of the patients’ feet, which we can mark to identify any potential areas in need of support, offloading, or cushion.
We then fill each foam impression with plaster, giving us a plaster copy of the patients’ feet, Upon drying and cleaning, we begin crafting the insert by hand around the mold.
Once the cast is cleaned, we then use Ethylene-vinyl acetate as a foundation for the insert, heating and molding it to account for each individual feature of every patients’ foot.
To finalize, we add a sheet of plastazote to provide an accommodating, comfortable, and supportive insert.
Custom Shoes
Every custom shoe begins with us taking a cast of the patient using plaster bandages, which conform to the shape of their foot.
We then create the upper for each shoe using the mold we took, so that the shoe will firmly hold the shape that the patient needs.
Once we have fit our genuine leather upper to the mold, we then create a sole for the shoe using medically rated, non-skid soling.
Then, each pair of custom shoes comes with a custom insert built by hand for each patient.
Prefabricated Shoes
We also offer a wide variety of medically rated prefabricated shoes. We have a selection of dress shoes, athletic shoes, casual shoes, and boots to fit your needs.
